New Creality Ender 6 Announced - PrinterMods UK Ltd

Meet the Creality Ender 6: The semi-enclosed Core XY machine offers some interesting features.

Just three days after releasing a significant update for their budget Ender 3 V2 printer, Creality surprised the 3D printing community with a brand new Ender 6.

The Core-XY machine borrows technical aspects from the popular Ender 5 Pro, adds extra build volume, an enclosure, and several improved components.

Creality hasn’t revealed everything about their newest machine yet, but you can get a decent impression by just looking at the tech specs of the Ender 6. So, without further ado, let's dive into them.

Features:

Creality 3D Ender 6 3D Printer - PrinterMods UK Ltd

Although the Ender 6 isn’t listed in Creality’s official store yet, you can find preliminary information on Creality’s website.

More Space For Prints

In terms of size, the Ender 6’s build volume of 250 x 250 x 400 mm puts it right between an Ender 5 Pro (220 x 220 x 300 mm) and the CR-10 series, which starts at 300 x 300 x 400 mm. This should suffice for the majority of your daily print jobs.

Faster Speed

According to the manufacturer, one of the most prominent features of the new Ender 6 is its speed. Creality boasts reaching 150 millimeters per second with a resolution of 0.1 millimeters. This is possible thanks to the Core-XY style assembly, which is known to reach an overall higher printing speed. But be careful: Speed doesn’t say much about the actual printing results.

Optional Semi-Closed Build Chamber

New to the Ender series is an acrylic enclosure, which, from what we can understand, is an optional upgrade for the Ender 6. A simple mechanical bracket system holds the acrylic walls in place. The top of the machine isn’t covered as the printhead is mounted here. Two front doors give you room to pluck your parts off the print bed once they’re finished.

Glass Bed:

In the wake of 2020 updates for the Ender series, glass beds are having a comeback at Creality. The new Ender 6 is no exception here. The magnetic print bed of the Ender Pro-Series is prone to collecting ugly filament residue, so a proper glass plate should give you smoother first layers.

Other Features:

✔️ Resume printing function: According to the Ender 6 specs sheet, the machine boasts a power outage resume feature.

✔️ Filament sensor: The filament run-out sensor has an LED that shows if the sensor is working properly.

✔️ Silent printing: Creality uses a new TMX-2208 system chip for their motherboards. According to the manufacturer, it makes printing with the Ender 6 quieter.

✔️ Improved user interface: With the new motherboard comes a new user interface and a 4.3 inches color HD screen.
